Children are like pearl in the deep ocean. Their hearts are so pure but shining and their mind are naïf but honest. To care and love children will need much energy, patient, cost and time. Actually those things are like investment, because parents will take the harvest in the future, maybe ten to twenty years later. If parents teach them right things today, children will grow as people with good personalities in the future.

The good habits that parents can give to their children are like: the table manner. Teach them to eat in good manner. First, teach them the prayer before eating. Then they can start to take the nearest food from them. If the food is far from them, tell them to ask help from other people to pass it. They should eat not too slow but not too fast. They should not speak while eating. They should eat without any sound of chewing. And they should finish their food. Explain the beneficial of vegetables and fruits and support them to eat those foods, beside rice or bread and proteins. Explain them about the bad effect of junk foods, which are poor from nutrition and fibers.

Teach the children to wear polite clothes. Especially for girls, do not give your children with cloth that have minimum designs, such as miniskirts, tank top, sleeveless shirt, hot pants or tight clothes. For boys are more flexible. Because if polite clothing is not controlled by parents, children will understand that shorts clothes are okay and they will use them until they grow adults. In fact, those short clothes are one from much stimulation from bad guys to do the rapes. We should protect our children since they were young.

Teach them good and right personality. For example, teach them about humble life. Teach them to life not in glamorous live, such as parties; spend so much money only for foods, clothes, shoes and other things. It is essential to teach them humble life so that they can feel the empathy to other poor people; this will encourage them to be generous to other people. Give them explanation that all people are the same, and all deserve to be respected, whether they are poor or rich people.

Teach them to be dependence. For example they can eat, drink, and take a bath by them selves. This is to make them more able to manage their own lives little by little.
