Every child is gifted with varieties of abilities. But parents will not know about what kind of talents do their children have if parents never give the opportunity for children to try varieties of activities. And actually talents are only 5 percent, and the rest of 95% is about exercising. This is applicable to any activities. So to optimize their physics and psychology, parents should give children the chance to try several activities.
Give the children chance to play music. Music will stimulate the right brain, which can indirectly increase their academic ability. Playing piano, guitar, harmonica, drum and violin are few from many instruments. By playing music they can learn about rhythm and tempo. This is good to stimulate their cognitive. They are able join a music course in music learning center, or call for music teacher at home. This can make them play the music better.
Generally, children have high curiosity about everything. This is a very good chance to fulfill their curiosity with many kinds of knowledge and information. Answer their questions in logical way according to their understanding level. Give them books to read. This is to motivate them to learn more about many things in this world. The more they learn and read, the smarter they will be. And smart people are good for their life in the future. Topics that good for children are like: science, history, religion, flora and fauna, transportation, legendary story, epic story and others.
Invite children to do sports regularly, the frequency is at least once in a week. For example invite them to swim, jogging, walking, or play badminton, football, basketball, ride bicycle or inline skate. These activities will give them more healthy and strong body. Besides it will give them the skill to play one of those sports branches, by doing sports children will feel fresher and entertained.
Toys that can make children to learn while playing are recommended. Children don’t like to learn with reading books all the time. They will feel bored. There are many toys in the market that have education mission behind them. Those toys are like puzzle, Rubik, blocks, robots, plastic animals, Barbie and others.
Parents should stimulate children’s imagination. This is by teaching them to draw and coloring pictures. This is increasing their ability of visual. They can learn how to visualize things and forms. They learn to mix colors, harmonize colors and learn to work tidy.
