Ha no, they either just don't want you to have one, don't want the extra costs, or believe the article. People seem to think everything can hurt you now days. Cell phones are harmless, unless your using it while your driving, happen to fall in a man hole, or get hit by a car or something assonine like that because your not paying attention. Cells are pretty nice to have, and it helps you keep in touch with your parents too.

Good question.
I was wondering this myself when we learned in sociology that poor people have more kids than middle class and rich people which is weird because the poor people can only really afford themselves if even that. Then how can they afford a kid?

It's not my place to tell someone they can't have children.

I also want to make a point that our population incraese is not because of the United States and Western Europe. 96 percent of the population increase is from Africa and other poor low income nations because they can't control their birth rate. And the sucky thing too is taht they can't even feed these people. More poor people then in the world... then.

Some people spurt out babies because they like children and are ready to face the difficulties of our world. Some people just like to have sex all the time.

I'm sure some care, to answer your question, and on the other side of the spectrum, some do not care.

I would like to have a child someday. And I want to point out one last time first world countries have a zero population growth. I just learned about that in class a week ago. It's all the poor countries. However, when I am raedy to have a child, I will be aware of all the obstacles.

We are all entitled to our own opinions.

Yes, there are health risks associated with the age of the father, and each added decade for the father's age, the more the risks. I have included several links to this information.

Just remember that birth defects can even occur in healthy young people and many older men father healthy children. You can't worry too much about this sort of thing sometimes, because if you do, you can't live and enjoy your life.

Also, you wouldn't know right away if the baby had schizophrenia, because these symptoms do not appear in very young children. It would occur in teen years or early adulthood, but could still be linked to an older father.

There have been some medical studies linking the older age of a father to such health risks in their children as autism and a higher risk of schizophrenia, dwarfism, bone disorders and also spontaneous abortion.

"A new study from Spain, which appears in the European Journal of Human Genetics, found that with every decade that passes, a man's risk of having sperm with chromosomal abnormalities increases 17 percent....He suggests men over 55 who want to father a child should consider having their sperm analysed for chromosomal abnormalities, but acknowledges that while the test is simple to perform, it's expensive."

"Geneticists have been aware for decades that the risk of certain rare birth defects increases with the father’s age. One of the most studied of these conditions is a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, but the list also includes neurofibromatosis, the connective-tissues disorder Marfan syndrome, skull and facial abnormalities like Apert syndrome, and many other diseases and abnormalities."

I was 33 and had a preemie baby. I was on bedrest from 17 weeks until the end and sicker than a dog. My FM went into remission which was nice. I had lots of complications and in and out of the hospital and I am a pretty healthy person I think. You just never know what will happen when you get pregnant. I have heard of others with health issues do just fine and really healthy Moms doing everything to make themselves healthy having complications. It is a crap shoot.

I feel exactly the way you do. I don't understand why there are so many programs out there for kids, but little to nothing for adults.

I'm still trying to pay off my hospital bills from last year and I was only hospitalized twice.
I'm 25 now and I'd hate to see how much I'm going to have to start paying once I'm older and have more issues.

Im sure youre grandparents nad parents didnt have loads of 12 packs in the house, computers, tv's and video games though now did they? Those were treats. Get a coke every once in a while. Go out to eat every once in a while. They were always on their feet playing with friends and working hard. Todays kids sit on the sofa drinking a 12 pack of coke while eating cheeseburgers. that should explain it.
