I have always been a city gal and never thought that there was anything wrong with that. Recently, the neighborhood that I had been living in with my three teenage boys began to worry me. there were bad things happening all around us and I worried for the safety of myself and especially my boys. One day after we had all heard gunshots from across the street, I made a radical decision. We were going to get away from all of this, I did not care how far away from the city that we had to move.
I began looking immediately online and quickly found two places that I thought would work out okay. the boys were not at all thrilled about country living, but I knew that it would be for the best for all of us. Within a matter of days we were packed up and headed to our new home. As we arrived, my oldest son balked and mumbled something about the fact that we probably would not have internet or cable service . I just giggled as we pulled into the driveway. There setting in the drive was not only the water man but the company that I had called earlier in the day to have our internet and cable installed. They could not have timed it any better than that moment to be there. I turned and said to my son,” What was that you just said?” . He smiled and ducked his head under his baseball cap. In that moment I knew that it was all going to be okay.
